Early Access Week One Guide
Steam Early Access went live July 21, 2026 with a full progress reset — every Pioneer, browser veteran and Steam newcomer alike, started fresh on equal footing. The first week determines whether you establish sustainable farming loops or burn out chasing leaderboard tiers without extraction discipline. This guide lays out a day-by-day priority list for July 21–28: account setup, Beginner's Bay speedruns, Dungeon Finder etiquette, achievement diary starts, and where to spend limited playtime before Spiderware's first major balance passes land.
Day 1 (July 21) — Launch Night Checklist
Link Spiderware email and Discord login in Game Menu → Account before grinding — wipes already happened at unlock, but account security matters for cross-client play. Verify Steam downloaded patch 6.0 fully; launch-day patches often chain behind the store unlock.
Speed-run Beginner's Bay: Bulkatron then Scrapclaw, reach Virelda, open bank storage, and accept your first Pioneer contracts. Do not skip homestead introductions — crafting stations unlock achievement diary chapters with bag rewards.
Join official Discord LFG or queue Dungeon Finder for one Eastern Reach Tier 1 clear with teammates so you learn between-floor revive timing before soloing Tier 2.
- Account link + Steam patch verify.
- Beginner's Bay → Virelda in one session.
- Bank, contracts, homestead intro.
- One co-op Tier 1 clear via finder or LFG.
Days 2–3 — Extraction Discipline and Builds
Push Eastern Reach Tier 2 only after Home Portal extraction is habit — failed Tier 2 runs can cost gear. Solo players should read our solo dungeon guide and test the Heavy Hit solo build before leaderboard ambitions.
Permanent ability upgrades at Fritz Lab wait until Arcadia unlock — focus week-one gear drops and consumables from homestead crafting instead of gold sinks.
Start achievement diaries that grant inventory slots — bag space beats cosmetic titles for long-term efficiency. Steam platform badges pop separately; both track linked accounts.
Days 4–5 — Life Skills and Economy
Alternate combat sessions with mining, foraging, or cooking routes from our life skills guide so Pioneer contracts and skilling achievements progress together. Burnout kills EA retention faster than slow gear.
Watch Arcadia AMM pools after the Steam player influx — inflation tuning is a stated Spiderware priority. Bank valuable drops before experimenting with trades; read player economy for Gold Bond basics.
Schedule one community event window for Commission Credits — legitimate cosmetics path, not fake promo codes.
Days 6–7 — Chapter 1 and Beyond
Push Chapter 1 story through Chief approvals and Eastern Reach beacon repairs. Story beats unlock abilities and achievement chains faster than random overworld grinding.
Preview Tier 5–6 dungeons added at EA only if your gear average supports them — press materials list six tiers total with the top two new at launch. Spectra prep remains a group activity; see Spectra raid prep.
Read patch notes for 6.1 hotfixes before week two — crash fixes and extraction tuning land quickly after launch. Leave Steam reviews only after you understand EA expectations from our review.
What to Ignore Week One
Ignore third-party promo code sites, fake roadmap leaks, and NFT-era Worldwide Webb drama threads — they do not affect the current Steam MMO. Rewards come from achievements, events, and gameplay.
Do not chase Tier 6 leaderboards on day three unless you are a veteran with reset practice from browser eras. EA balance passes will shift Eastern Reach tuning — flexible builds beat hyper-optimized glass cannons early.
Skip dual-logging browser and Steam on one account — you will be forced out mid-dungeon. Pick one client per session.
Steam Launch Sale — Ends July 28, 2026
Steam lists an introductory offer through **July 28, 2026** — roughly $13 base pricing with a launch discount for new purchasers. If you are on the fence, buying before the sale ends locks in the lower entry cost; refunds remain available through Steam's standard policy if the EA rough edges bother you.
Use the discount window to onboard friends into the same Dungeon Finder region. A coordinated trio learns extraction faster than three solo Pioneers pugging random matchmaking.
After July 28, expect normalized Instant Exchange prices as the launch-week gold rush settles — read our Auction House guide before flipping commodities on day six.
