Patch 5.18 introduced the Auction House and Instant Exchange at Virelda's southwestern PixelBay building — a true player-driven trading hub where you list rare dungeon drops, bid on gear, and let the market set commodity prices. Guilds arrived in the same update: create a tag, invite friends, and coordinate bulk trades for homestead ingredients and apartment fuel. Steam Early Access on July 21, 2026 ships the live economy with category search improvements from patch 5.24. Finding the PixelBay Auction House
After you reach Virelda from Beginner's Bay, head to the southwestern PixelBay building in town. The Auction House UI opens inside — separate tabs for player listings, bids, and Instant Exchange commodity swaps.
Steam store copy still mentions a "soon-to-launch" auction house for new PC players, but browser and live-service Pioneers have used PixelBay since update 5.18. Steam EA shares the same economy — listings, bids, and mail deliveries behave identically across browser, Discord, and the native client.
Check in-game mail after purchases; PixelBay sales deliver items asynchronously while you run Pioneer Guild contracts or beacon dungeons. Do not trust third-party "market bots" or fake code sites — all legitimate trades happen inside PixelBay or secure player trade windows.

Auction House vs Instant Exchange
The Auction House is for discrete items: weapons with rolled stats, rare recipes, event cosmetics, and high-value dungeon drops. Set a starting bid or buyout, wait for bids, and collect gold when the timer expires. Category filters from patch 5.24 let you search by weapon type (Sword, Greatsword, etc.) or recipe name without scrolling every listing.
Instant Exchange handles high-volume commodities — ores, crops, cooked food, crafting inputs. You do not set a price; the market algorithm matches supply and demand. Ideal when you want to dump fifty copper ore stacks after a mining contract without manually listing each lot.

Guilds — Tags, Invites, and Trading Networks
Guild creation costs 1,000 gold and lets you display a 1–4 character tag under your Pioneer name. Invite players via right-click context menu in the overworld or through the friends list — useful for static Dungeon Finder groups and Spectra raid prep rosters.
Guild chat replaces scattered Discord pings for in-game trade coordination: bulk-buy cooking ingredients, split apartment generator fuel costs, and schedule community event windows together. Spiderware notes "huge plans" for guild features during the 12–18 month Early Access period — expect expansions beyond tags and invites.

Week-One Trading Tips (July 21–28, 2026)
Steam's introductory offer runs through **July 28, 2026** — new purchasers save on EA pricing while the player population surges. Expect volatile Instant Exchange prices as thousands of fresh Pioneers dump tutorial ore and buy starter weapons. Wait 48 hours after launch before deep-buying commodities unless you are flipping known margins.
Sell surplus dungeon drops on the Auction House rather than vendor trashing them — Tier 1 Eastern Reach gear with Heavy Hit rolls sells to players rushing solo Heavy Hit builds. List with clear skill requirements in item names to attract buyers searching categories.
